SERIES EVEN AT 1
 Series
shifts to victory field in Indianapolis.
David Coggin pitched 5 fabulous innings before things fell apart in the 6th.
The Barons battled to take the lead in the bottom of the 6th, but Coggin, who
was out of gas, was left in to allow 2 more runs in the 7th and the Barons
prospects of victory disintegrated from there. Kane Davis pitched a superb game,
limiting the Red Barons to 3 runs and 3 hits over 6 innings. The Red Barons
offensive flash occured in the bottom half of the 6th inning. After a Reggie
Taylor fly out, Kenny Woods was hit by a pitch. David Doster doubled. Gene
Schall reached first on a fielding error by Indians' shortstop Santiago Perez.
Woods scored on the play and Doster went to third. Doster scored on a wild pitch
by Davis and Schall went to second on the play. Jimmy Rollins flew out. David
Newhan singled in Schall. Newhan stole second, but P.J. Forbes struck out to end
the inning.
Tonight's game in Indianapolis starts at 8:00 EDT because Indiana doesn't go on
daylight savings time in the summer. Why they are even an "Eastern Time
zone state" is beyond me. Make sure you listen on the radio to this pivotal
contest! Shane Bowers (8-7 4.65) takes on Rafael Roque (9-4 4.15). LET'S GO
BARONS! PUT THE PRESSURE ON THEM!
