IT'S GOOD TO HAVE THE SUPPORT OF ROD!!!

Rodney Bolton was fantastic and the Red Barons rode the bats of Wendell Magee Jr., Billy McMillon, and Steve Carver in a 7-0 triumph over the Rochester Red Wings. Mighty Cal Pickering was held hitless and bereft of food for the entire game.

ARKANSAS BLASTS!

Wendell led off the Red Baron 1st with a towering home run off the top of the fence in left-center. Steve Carver answered the call of the wild in the 3rd with a smash off to the right of Fanovision. Torey Lovullo continued his consistent play with an RBI double and Lou Frazier hit a triple to the gap in right center.

ERA DROP ALERT!!!!

Hmm, who could it be???
Maybe Rod Bolton's 9 inning, no run, 3 hit, 4 strikeout performance?? Yes, in fact it is!
Bolton 4.23 -----> 3.91
GO ROD!!!

God Bless Mitch, again!

Without him, it would have only been 6-0. He gave us info on Jim Corsi.
M'kay? M'kay!!! ROCHESTER TODAY!!! 7:30 on WICK's powerless station. But go to the game cause it's home!

THE COLUMN THAT MAKES YOU GIVE SUPPORT TO ROD!

Here's that Marv Albert Dave Lefchak (Rod Bolton) with his "Four Strikeouts!"
MY TWO CENTS
by Dave Lefchak
July 19, 1999

The Barons continued their winning ways at Lackawanna County Stadium as they defeated the
hapless Rochester Red Wings 7-0. The Barons have surged into first place with a loss by
Pawtucket! Thanks, Tilson Brito!!! Here are some of my insightful ramblings about the game:

ARKANSAS BLAST ALERT!!! Wendell didn't wait long before bouncing his 14th of the year just
right of the 371 sign in left center field. From the bleachers, it looked like it was a shot
off the wall, but it cleared the fences. And then, the Fan Club witnessed a sight that happens
once every two months..... Steve Carver teed off on a fastball and CRUSHED it ddep to right
center for his third of the year! It's Steve's first homer since May 24th! Who needs Pat
Burrell?

It's good to have the support of ROD!!! Bolton was outstanding today, going the distance and
throwing a 3-hitter!!! Okay, it was against Rochester, but still a great accomplishment for a
guy that truly deserves it.

In a conversation with Matt Snyder (Red Wings relief pitcher), he says he wears number 38 in
honor of the greatest pitcher who ever lived, Curt Schilling. You belong on the Barons, Matt.
Matt claims to be friends with several Red Barons, such as Joel Bennett, Steve Carver, and Jon
Zuber. It's a shame he has to be friends with D.T. Cromer.

Torey Lovullo approached the Fan Club following tonight's contest, and he seemed very impressed
with the quality of heckling we displayed. Thanks to our Fan Club South division, headed by
Mitch from Greensboro, NC, we found out some dirt on Jim Corsi, a relief pitcher for Rochester.
We touched on his World Series performance and his recent stint in the Mexican League. Jim
DeCinces is no longer with the team, sorry Mitch! Torey thinks we're great.... and we think
he's pretty good too. He's the 2nd nicest player on the team. But of course, we all know who
the best is...........

Tonight's Trojan Boner of the Game does not go to a Red Baron, as everyone in the order succeded
tonight both offensively and defensively. So, we will give it to Red Wings 1st baseman Cal
Pickering for being so god damn huge! I think I saw him with a girl at a restaurant the other
day, but I guess he ate her or something....

BRING BACK CLEMENTE ALVAREZ!!!! Sorry, Marc Ronan.

Let's keep up this great starting pitching! Sweeping Rochester would be key! 7 game home
winning streak!!!!! I DRIVE A BUICK REGAL!!!!!

That's my two cents, gang. And always remember, enjoy the FESHtival.
