THE BEST GAME ALL YEAR LONG!!!

We played like champions with a heart of gold tonight!!!! We would not be defeated! Lou Frazier came up as big a any Red Baron ever and Jon Zuber and Torey Lovullo and Wendell Magee all had superior plays in the field!!! We won 5-4, but that doesn't indicate how hard we psuhed to win this one. We were down 2-1 in the 8th when Lou Frazier belted a blast Righty!!! We were down 4-3 in the 9th when Wendell came thru with a double and Lou sealed the deal with a DEEP single!!! Unfortunately, the bullpen and Sean Fesh's scoreless inning streaks came to a close. Sean had gone 11.2 innings with out giving up a run!!

HITTING IN THE CLUTCH!

Lou Frazier was our player of the game by FAR!!! He was fantastic hitting a 2 run homer in the 8th off Fossas (washed up old fogey) and hitting the Game Winning RBI off Jay Tessmer (overrated). Other Red Barons had big games with the bat. Wendell Magee went 2-4 with the double that tied it in the ninth. Bobby Estalella went 2-3 with a double to silence his critics (Me, Dave, everyone). Matty G (who sent us mail!!) was big in that his single allowed Frazier to drive him home in the 8th and he scored the winning run in the 9th after being allowed to stay on base due to a botched Fielder's choice. Lou Lucca drove in the first SWB tally with a towering double in the first.

ERA DROP ALERTS!!!!

Barry Johnson, with the exception of 2 pitches, was brilliant. Sean had a rough one, he saw his ERA raise considerably, enough about that. Grahe played gandhi by allowing the runners to score and lowering hi ERA in the process, Billy Brewer pitched to one hitter for the win!?
Johnson 5.19 -----> 4.80
Grahe 5.27 -----> 5.14
Brewer 4.57 -----> 4.53
It's okay, don't worry about it!

Twin Falls, Idaho.

I'm SO happy with the way we played, and Carver didn't play, coincidence? Me and Don wore our throwback uniform, him being Fesh, and I Joel Bennett who is pitching tonight against Toledo. Andy Stankewicz for Bubba Carpenter? Hmm....Trey Hillman is on crack!!! I can't say enough about the divine intervention of God on Guiliano's grounder in the 9th...Brian Raabe completely took his eye off it and Burton wound up on 3rd, simply amazing...
Debts: MB --> 3 DHL --> 23 Friday night, we'll seal the deal.

George Gilbert didn't see us in our unis! Eddie Antos!! Chris Wheeler! Microwave Popcorn makes the ball slip...

THE COLUMN YOU WISH YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO GO TO YORK FOR!!!

Here's that awesome Dave Lefchak (Frazier) with his "Two Slams!"
MY TWO CENTS
by Dave Lefchak
June 20, 1999

Fesh gave us a real scare tonight, and the scoreless innings streak comes to
an end, but the Red Barons were stellar with the offense. The Barons came
back not once, but twice to take 3 of 4 from Columbus by a 5-4 margin. Here
are some of my insightful ramblings about the last home game until July 4th:

Lou Frazier was CLUTCH TONIGHT!!!! He had an Arkansas blast in the 8th, as
he scoffed at the percentage play by Trey Hillman. His sac fly in the 9th
provided the game winning RBI! WELCOME BACK LOU!!!!

Barry Johnson was also very clutch with a pretty good outing, barring
back-to-back homers from Ashby and Jimenez. Bad Starter Syndrome seems to be
diminishing. You'd think we can sweep Toledo for the year at the shithole of
the IL, Ned Skeldon Stadium. (Note: Who the hell is Ned Skeldon?) We'll be
listening, boys, hit em where they ain't!

Well, tonight's Trojan Boner of the Game award goes to Red Barons "manager"
Marc Bombard. He is about as apt at making pitching changes as a man in an
earthquake trying to hammer a nail. He took out the Fesh just as he was
gonna nail the next two guys to get the save. Stop listening to Radiohead
and get your head in the game! Honorable mention goes to Lou Lucca for not
tagging the runner that was 2 feet next to him.

BRING BACK CLEMENTE ALVAREZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A special farewell to the center field message board. We will always
remember you and the Fesh messages you passed along. BUT WE CANT WAIT FOR
FANOVISION!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, did anybody see the Yankee fans tonight? They kinda left when we kicked
their ass in the 9th!!! God damn it, what possesses good citizens of NEPA to
like the Yankees and root for their AAA team rather than the home team? You
people make me sick.

Let the fan club serve warning now to Louisville 2B Brandon Cromer. You are
related to our mortal enemy D.T. Cromer of the Indianapolis Indians. Prepare
to be heckled like you've never been heckled before on July 4th!

That's my two cents, gang. And always remember, enjoy the FESHtival.
