OFFENSIVE EXPLOSION PLUS STALWART PITCHING!!

The offense once again went ballistic tonight! We shelled them for 12 hits and 7 runs including 2 Ding-Dongs! Rodney Bolton gave up one run in 6 innings and got out of a couple jams and Brewer ran us another scoreless inning before Ryan Nye pitched the final 2 frames for the completion. We got to walk out on the field and measure up the fence, and we got to talk to Sean after the game by the locker room with his Family.

In the monetary segment of the evening, three members of the club went in on Fesh's Miner Jersey and Hat and Bobbo managed to pick up the whole Joel Bennett package with some grad money. (See debts later) heheheheh

HOMERS ABOUND!

Powell, and more importantly, WE HIT TWO!!! Wendell Magee Jr. connected for his 10th, making him the third Red Baron to double digits, and Darren Burton got his 1000th professional hit in style, by hitting a 2-run homer righty to cap off the 4 run 6th inning.

Other notes from the hitting department: Jon Zuber who turned in a great play in the field went 4-5 with 3 RBI. Lou Frazier continued his assault going 2-4 and scoring 2 runs I believe he stole a base as well, but the box score gives no credit. Lucca had a double to drive in a run and that's about it! GREAT GAME HITTERS!!

ERA DROP ALERTS!!!!

Rodney Bolton was key, as were Brewer and Nye in a fine pitching performance by the SWB staff. Fesh warmed up a little, but that's cause he was bored.
Bolton 4.39 -----> 4.19
Brewer 4.67 -----> 4.57
Nye 6.33 -----> 5.79
It's good to have the support of ROD!!!

Don't wanna walk away from Emaline!

I'm very happy with the way we played, except....ESTALELLA...what? No Carver?? Holy shit! What a coincedence!!! WE WIN, NO CARVER!! Well we wore our graduation robes and they have become a standard uniform for the Sean Fesh Fan Club. And is it just me, or does Bubba Carpenter know where we are going to hit it ahead of time?
Debts: DKN --> 3 MB --> 3 DHL --> 23 FRANK!!!

George Gilbert is muy allegre, and Mike Walsh should come tomorrow night!! Bring Eddie Antos!!

THE COLUMN YOU'D WISH FESH DIDN'T MAKE PLANS FOR!!!

Here's that 1000th hit Dave Lefchak (Burton) with his "Two Sins!"
MY TWO CENTS
by Dave Lefchak
June 20, 1999

The Scranton Miners crushed the Columbus Redbirds tonight by the old-school
score of 7-1. Here are some of my insightful ramblings about this glorious
occasion:

The Arkansas Blast parade returned to LCS tonight, with Wendell Magee and
Darren "Don't Call Me Essex" Burton hitting jacks. Darren's homer was his
1,000th hit in professional baseball!! Way to get to 1,000 in style Darren!!
The Barons offense is back! RUNS IN YOUR FACE!!!!

Rodney Bolton FINALLY got off the enormous schneid he was on tonight with an
impressive performance. Although he got touched up early by Alonzo Powell's
blast to deep center, he settled down and only allowed 1 run in 6 innings.
Congrats Rodney, you've got some respect!

On a night when it was thought that you could not find a player for the
Trojan Boner of the Game Award, such a player was found in Bobby Estalella.
Since Steve Carver was benched (THANK GOD!) Estalella picked up the slack in
his absence by not hustling at all. He even screwed up a throw down to
second, but Torey Lovullo saved it from going into center field. Congrats
Bobby.

On that previous note....... BRING BACK CLEMENTE
ALVAREZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fesh did not pitch, however Ryan Nye was stellar from the pen in the 8th and
9th innings. He better get back in the rotation fast to eliminate the Bad
Starter Syndrome that has been going around lately.

HAPPY FATHERS DAY STEVE SCHRENK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

John Davies looked very Max Mercy-esque tonight in his turn back the clock
suit. He really is a nice guy with an awesome voice. We can't wait for
Fanovision July 4th!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's my two cents, gang. GET YOUR ASSES IN THE SEATS AGAINST COLUMBUS!
And always remember, enjoy the FESHtival.

I AGREE THAT CLIPPER FANS SUCK
F*** THE CLIPPERS!
Just don't stare like you never cared, I know you did, but you just smile, politely, like you're telling me "Have a nice life."
