THE BARONS TAKE THEIR FIRST FROM THEIR MORTAL ENEMIES! Joel
Bennett proved invaluable much like a #50 should be as he pitched six strong
innings, giving up only 2 runs, while picking up his 6th Red Baron Victory. The
team hit a TON off Washed up Jeff Juden who allowed homers to Bobby Estalella,
Billy McMillon, and Darren Burton. Wendell Magee Jr. made a game saving catch
robbing Bierek of a sure triple and 2 Columbus runs that would have made it 4-3.
Torey Lovullo provided a key bases clearing double to make it 7-1. The Barons
cruised the rest of the way with Fesh in command as usual and they won 8-2.
BILLY MAC'S HOME RUN BRIGADE!Billy McMillon became the second Red Baron of 1999 to hit 10 home runs as his blast off Jeff Juden gave the Red Baron a 4-1 cushion which was never vanquished. GO BM ²Other Baron's joined the hit parade with Arkansas blasts of their own. Estalella hit one to the opppsite field and Burton continues a nice little streak of hitting with his 2nd jack to right field. ERA DROP ALERTS!!!!Joel Bennett's 2 runs in 6 innings pitched actually raised his ERA slightly, but Darryl Scott continues to shine pitching a scoreless 7th, and the FESHER pitched a perfect 8th, and a perfect 9th was had by all as Grahe induced a DP out of some poor schmuck.Scott 5.47 -----> 5.37 Fesh 3.77 -----> 3.64 Grahe 5.68 -----> 5.27 GOOD JOB PEN, ESPECIALLY SEAN!!!! SHINY HAPPY PEOPLEI'm very happy with the way we played, except....CARVER...what? Good game guys, I had been getting down on you recently and I'm sorry and I'd like to say I'm not a gibrone. I was once a Red Baron with a high standing in the community, then Travis Cole took it away...Somewhere, George Gilbert is smiling, and so am I, cause I'm a lucky girl, hooray oh boy, look at my diamond, it came from Van Scoy!THE COLUMN YOU'D DRIVE HOME QUICK FROM THE OLIVE GARDEN JUST IN TIME FOR!!!Here's that mulligitawny Dave Lefchak (Mark Sims) with his "Two Since!"MY TWO CENTS by Dave Lefchak June 18, 1999 Tonight's game against the dreaded Columbus Clippers was one of the most enjoyable of the entire season for the Fan Club!!! Not only did the Fesh pitch a scoreless 8th inning to raise his scoreless innings streak to 11 1/3, the Barons whipped the llama's ass tonight with not 1, not 2, but 3 ARKANSAS BLASTS IN AN 8-2 VICTORY!!!!!!!!! Here are some of my insightful ramblings about the game: ARKANSAS BLASTS FROM ESTALELLA, MCMILLON, AND BURTON!!!!!!! Okay, Estalella was more due for a blast than a woman 8 1/2 months pregnant, and McMillon showed that yes, he still can hit after being taken out of the lineup in favor of Lou Frazier. But Darren Burton? His shot looked like it was a mile high before it hit the Alltel Communications billboard in right-center. Way to go Darren!!! STEVE CARVER STILL SUCKS!!!!! Congratulations Steve, you have won the first ever Sean Fesh Fan Club Boner of the Game Award, sponsored by Trojan: America's #1 Condom, for your error in the 9th inning. Quite a clutch performance, Steve. Have some fun out there why don't ya. Joel Bennett was outstanding in his starting role tonight, proving that there is some hope for starters on the Barons. Hopefully Shumaker continues the trend tonight. Question: Who was the only SWB pitcher to retire Bubba Carpenter tonight? Answer below. BRING BACK CLEMENTE ALVAREZ!!!! Sorry, Marc Ronan. OUR BULLPEN KICKED ASS TONIGHT!!! So much for the mighty Clipper offense. Wendell Magee Jr. was only one of two hitless Barons tonight (along with bumblefuck Carver) but he managed to stand out defensively with an UNBELIEVABLE catch up against the 408 foot marker in centerfield. WAY TO MAKE THE ULTIMATE SACRIFICE WENDELL!!! Your son is proud of you. Answer: SEAN FESH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's my two cents, gang. GET YOUR ASSES IN THE SEATS AGAINST COLUMBUS! And always remember, enjoy the FESHtival. Click here to go back to other games past. Granola, Oatmeal, Urine, Shoe Leather, and Carl SETTLE DOWN PROSTITUTES! And I don't believe in god, so I can't be saved. - Ben Folds |
