WE SUCK AGAIN! BARONS LOSE HEARTBREAKER TO KNIGHTS 6-5!

It continued to rain shit on Rodney Bolton as he gave up 3 runs, and earned 3 more after leaving the game in the 6th, as the Barons lost 6-5. We had hits here and there, but none to mount a serious threat. Steve Carver wins Goat of the Game honors once again, for striking out twice in crucial situations. Hats off to you Steve.

ARKANSAS BLAST SEARCH CONTINUES AT HOME

The Barons seem to hit tons of HRs on the road, but not too many at Lackawanna County Stadium. We had some close ones tonight, but no strong hits of note. If anyone sees any Arkansas blasts, send them seaworthy to the Barons. We need them!

ERA DROP ALERTS!!!!

All pitchers except "It's good to have the support of" Rod Bolton had drops tonight! The pen did a halfway decent job. The aforementioned pitchers are:
Ryan 9.24 -----> 7.98
Scott 5.96 -----> 5.72
GOOD JOB PEN!!!

JOHN DAVIES' QUOTABLE QUOTES!!!

"Carlos Castillo (Charlotte starter) made me look like an anorexic tonight."
"I hate Columbus, ever since '92, I cant stand them."
"If you wanna root for Columbus, go up to New York instead."
"Shit, man.... we just couldn't get it tonight."
THANKS JOHN FOR THE NICE CHAT! WE'LL SEE YOU TOMORROW!

MY TWO CENTS by Dave Lefchak
June 14, 1999

Ken Ryan was playing in the California Penal League tonight, giving up a
double and giving Rodney Bolton 3 more ERs to his name. Way to go Ken,
you're major league material.

The lack of Arkansas blasts at LCS is severely depressing.

WE GOT OUR SALSA MUSIC TONIGHT! WAY TO GO JOHN DAVIES AND THE
PRESS BOX CREW!

Sean Fesh is the nicest guy who ever lived! He offered to take us to
Chick's after a Sunday game!! He talked with us for a good 12-17 minutes
following the depressing game. WAY TO GO SEAN, KEEP TEARING UP LEFTIES!

BRING BACK CLEMENTE ALVAREZ!!!!!

I'm not too talkative today.

Anyway, thats my two cents gang. Enjoy the FESHtival.
