THE BARONS TAKE THEIR THIRD IN A ROW!!!

Bolstered by the shot in the arm that the Fesh Fan Club provided for them against Richmond, the Red Barons proceeded to take two in a row in Rochester. They took this one 9-5 as Tyler Green got his first Red Barons victory of 1999 on his rehab assignment.

LIVIN LA VI LOU LUCCA!

Tonight was obviously Lou Lucca night at Frontier Field. He went 2-3 with 3 Runs Scored and 2 RBI, more importantly he hit an Arkansas Blast against Doug Linton, his 4th of the year!

Welch, Ryan, Schrenk = Relief!!!

When Tyler Green gave up 4 runs in 5 innings, Bombard turned to Welch who gave up 1 in 2 innings, then a Ryan/Schrenk sandwich sealed the deal. It's good to see someone other than Fesh or Schrenk get some ERA Drop!!!
Welch 8.16 ------> 7.68
Ryan 10.03 ------> 9.24
Schrenk 3.34 ----> 3.24
GOOD JOB PEN!!!

BURTON'S CANNON!

In the 7th during a crucial stretch, there was 1 out and Ryan Minor on 3rd. From Mid to Deep right field, Burton rifled one on a beeline to Bobby Estalella who applied a lunging tag, completing the 5th Double play of the game. GREAT JOB DARREN!!

The Barons are on a hot streak at Frontier Field as the rehab warrior Tyler
Green led them to a 9-5 victory over the pathetic Red Wings. Here are some
more of my insightful comments:

Lou Lucca comes through with an Arkansas blast!!! ITS ABOUT TIME!!! Wendell
Magee also continues to tear it up. Please stay Wendell. We need you.

Ken Ryan.... what can I say about Ken Ryan.... he has clearly caught a case
of Garrett Stephenson syndrome: getting sent down by the Phils after some
poor outings, then proceeding to stink it up in Lackawanna County Stadium and
in other IL venues. Somebody give this man some help.... now.

The Barons played defense a la the 1992 championship team tonight, turning 5
double plays. Im surprised Carver didnt screw it up.

BRING BACK CLEMENTE ALVAREZ!!!!

C'mon, Pawtucket, throw us a bone here! Lose some games already!!!

Darren Burton was showing up his Doug Lindsey-esque gun in right field today
nailing a runner at the plate! But.... he still sucks.

Congratulations Randy Wolf on a good outing in the show. We miss you.
Godspeed.

No Fesh appearance tonight, yet we still win. As Bob says, Richmond was a
shot in the arm for us, and maybe we can sweep these Red Wings. Now, if we
could only get the Fesh in more often....

Thats my two cents gang, until tomorrow.... enjoy the FESHtival.
