BROWNSON, BRANTLEY, BARRIOS... AND BURRELL BLAST BRIGADE!!!

Like the "B" alliteration? Of course you do.

The Red Barons bounced back from the loss in the opener yesterday to take the second game of the series by a 7-2 final over the Pawsox. The offense was red-hot once again, as the Barons stroked 14 hits off the Pawsox non-Korean pitching unit, including 2 dingers! More on that in Appendix HR. As a personal note, I (Dave) will be leaving sunny Ithaca on Friday, and I'll hopefully be in attendance at this weekend's games against Durham. Also, I will be starting my job at the stadium for Monday's game (although as of now, I have no idea what that job will be!) so I'm looking forward to that. Just thought you all would like to know.

ARKANSAS BLASTS GALORE!! Well, only 2, but still...

Gene Schall started off the scoring in the 5th inning (the Stadium Club Homerun Inning!) with a 2-run shot, his 4th of the season. Then, the long awaited power outburst from Pat Burrell finally happened in the 8th inning. Pat walloped a shot 430 to straightaway centerfield, right over the batters' eye! WAY TO GO PAT! KEEP 'EM COMING!

ERA DROP ALERTS!! WOO HOO!!

Performing my math calucations, Mark Brownson just missed an ERA drop tonight by 0.01, raising his ERA from 2.52 to 2.53! Talk about ridiculousness! However, Brantley bounced back from his performance last night, and Barrios also pitched well, so here are their ERA drops:
Brantley (rehab warrior) 4.50 -----> 3.60
Barrios 2.77 -----> 2.57
WAY TO GO PITCHING! KEEP IT UP!
Hmmm.. I was just thinking about something. Pat Burrell + Chris Pritchett + Barry Johnson = SEAN FESH! Coincidence? I think not.

Oh, won't you please take me home?
