LITTLE LEAGUE HOMERS SPELL VICTORY!

Here we go! That's not too shabby, especially since we ran out of players! Blast these guys cause we have them and Louisville on the road next and that could get ugly. As Lee Elia would say, 85% of the world's working, the other 15% come here, it's like a playground for the c*********. And that it was. Thousand of c******, I mean school children packed Lackawanna County Stadium for the doubleheader. I'm sure none of them saw the second game, but it doesn't matter, all they do is run around and buy food anyway. Brings back memories of years past when class day would convieniently fall on the day of the 11:30 game, or when a teachers strike would allow us to hit the beloved day game. Either way, THIS YEAR WE WON AGAIN! I was also one of the 83 people who stuck around until 6:00 PM when the game finally ended. The lack of a crowd facilitated my easy conversation with Creighton Gubanich, who, needless to say, isn't a big fan of mine. Game one was won on the strength of brilliant pitching from Evan Thomas who went 6 2/3 and only allowed 1 run. Bryan Ward picked up the save by throwing one pitch and inducing M-I-C-K-E-Y LOPEZ to fly out. You've read about game 2 on the main page, here are the details of both.

ARKANSAS BLASTS....KINDA

Two "Blasts" were hit that were reminsicent of the grand slam I hit in Teener League.
Both Marlon Anderson and Dave Doster hit bombs to the wall and coasted in for triples. Horrible Indian fielding and Pat Cline's failure to pay attention turned both into "inside-the-park-homeruns." They were the difference in game 1. In game 2, Tomas Perez banked one off the rotating signs for his 4th of the year, also this homerun further proved that he is not Lou Lucca or Doug Angeli.

MOST PITCHERS ATTAINED SUCCESS!!!

Only Mark Brownson couldn't get the job done today. Otherwise, the pitching was OUTSTANDING!
