JUST COULDN'T QUITE GET IT TOGETHER...

Pawtucket outpitches the Barons to retake second place by 1/2 game.

The Korean arsenal in the Pawsox pitching staff controlled the pace of this game. The Barons jumped out to an early 2-0 lead on a Chris Pritchett single. After that, it was simply all Pawsox. They battled back with 2 in the 2nd, and scored 1 more in the 3rd on Kenny Woods' outfield blunder. The Barons were maybe a little cocky after their seven game winning streak. They were thrown out stealing many times throughout the game, and also failed to deliver in clutch situations. No matter, there's still two more games at good ol' McCoy.

ARKANSAS BLAST? NO SUCH LUCK!

No blasts today for SWB, but Freddy Garcia nailed one for the Pawsox. Too bad we have to let the rehab warriors have their time, otherwise we might have had a chance. Such is the life of a minor league ballclub!

ERA DROP ALERTS!

None for Brantley, but Thomas and Boyd didn't pitch all that bad. Here are their ERA drop alerts:
Thomas 6.41 -----> 5.84
Boyd (rehab warrior) 2.70 -----> 2.08

As a side note: Phillies' pitcher Amaury Telemaco cleared waivers and was assigned to the Red Barons today. He is expected to join the starting rotation.
Hmmm.. I was just thinking about something. Pat Burrell + Chris Pritchett + Barry Johnson = SEAN FESH! Coincidence? I think not.
