TOUGH ONE AT THE DIAMOND!
 Not
much in the way of offense, but give the Barons credit. They cashed in on
virtually every opportunity presented to them in the later innings. The real
story here was the stellar work done by the Red Barons bullpen tonight. The FESHER
went two scoreless innings, Bryan Ward went 3 scoreless innings, Mark Holzemer
pitched 2 scoreless, and Barry Johnson (3-1) held on to earn the victory! Steve
Schrenk pitched the 15th to earn his 2nd save. Also, another pitcher got in on
the action... Cliff Politte was called upon to PINCH HIT in the 14th inning when
the Barons' were out of position players. He grounded out to first base.
ARKANSAS BLASTS? NOT LIKELY TONIGHT!
No blasts from either squad tonight. Tomas Perez and Gene Schall had the most
productive offensive nights. Tomas went 4-for-6 and Gene Schall went 3-for-7
with the game-winning RBI!
ERA DROP ALERTS!!!!
The pen is mightier..... hehe. And to be fair, Thomas' ERA only rose from 4.62
to 4.80, so here we go:
FESH 4.18 -----> 3.86
Ward 3.44 -----> 2.95
Holzemer 3.46 -----> 3.21
Johnson 3.10 ----> 3.00
Schrenk 3.18 -----> 2.70
WAY TO GO PEN!!!!!
Where have you gone Chris Pritchett? Cesar King turns his lowly eyes to you
oo hoo hoo...
