THIS IS THE BEST TEAM IN THE IL? NOT ACCORDING TO LEE ELIA!! (AND GENE SCHALL!)

The Barons blasted the Bulls in the day-night doubleheader today, 7-3 in the first, and 8-0 in the second. The shutout in the second game was the first time Durham has been shutout ALL SEASON! The doubleheader sweep was the second time the Bulls have lost 2 in a row.. hmm.. when was the other time... OH YEAH! When the BARONS beat them 2 times at home!! Beating the supposed "best team in the IL" in the season series would be very key!! As it stands, the worst we can do now is break even, but it would be great to beat Durham after struggling mightily against them the past few seasons.

ARKANSAS BLASTS!!!

GENE SCHALL continues to lead this team in the field. The veteran slugger blasted his team-leading 7th homer of the year in the first game. He led the charge with 3 RBI in each of the games! Tomas Perez also produced nicely with 4 RBI. Let's keep up the offense in the last game of the year against Durham!!!! Thank god we're getting them away from us early!

ERA DROP ALERTS!!!!

Wow, I'll bet just about everyone gets one!!! Let's check the list!
Ward 3.86 -----> 3.44
Schrenk 4.90 -----> 3.18
Holzemer 4.29 -----> 3.46
Johnson 3.46 -----> 3.10
Well, everyone except Politte, but that was just thanks to one pitch (the HR to Timmons) so he pitched well too. Way to go, pitching!! RUN WITH THE BULLS!
Where have you gone Chris Pritchett? Cesar King turns his lowly eyes to you oo hoo hoo...
