THE FRENCH INHABIT CASTLE LOMBARD!

Here we go! That's 3 in a row! Blast these guys cause we have Durham on the road next and that could get ugly. As Lee Elia would say, 85% of the world's working, the other 15% come here, it's like a playground for the c*********. And that it was. Thousand of c******, I mean school children packed Lackawanna County Stadium for the doubleheader. I'm sure none of them saw the second game, but it doesn't matter, all they do is run around and buy food anyway. Brings back memories of years past when class day would convieniently fall on the day of the 11:30 game, or when a teachers strike would allow us to hit the beloved day game. Either way, THIS YEAR WE WON! Richmond looks like the '62 Mets, let's see if they can continue their ineptitude. I HATE ATLANTA so when their players get old and are forced to pull from Richmond, they are in TROUBLE.

ARKANSAS BLASTS!!

Marlon Anderson cranked one in the first inning of game one and Dave Doster lifted one out in game two. Pat Burrell's 2-run jack in the second game propelled the Barons to victory because George Lombard knocked one out late in game 2.

Where have you gone Chris Pritchett? Cesar King turns his lowly eyes to you oo hoo hoo...

PRICHETT CALLED UP!!

The Red Barons lost a weapon in their order when Chris Pritchett was called up to fill the void in Philadelphia left when Rico Brogna took an inside pitch and broke his wrist.
Inside info from SWB Brass says that Pat Burrell will see increased time at 1st base and be called up in 2 weeks to replace Brogna for the short haul. It is the wish of this editor (Bob) that we could somehow regain Pritchett in June when Burrell goes up. Let's hope he's not out of options.
