FESH GETS PLAYER OF GAME HONORS!!!

In a game that seemed to last forever, Rochester reliever Jimmy Hamilton walked Chris Pritchett to force in the game-winning run in the tenth inning to give the Red Barons their first win in 2000, by the final of 2-1. Cliff Politte pitched well to start the game, giving up one run in 4 2/3 innings with a whole pile of Ks. He gave way to Fesh who proceeded to light up the stadium, especially in the 6th inning when Fesh struck out Derrick May, Fat Cal, and Ryan Minor. Marlon Anderson tied the game in the 8th with a single. The Barons travel to Rochester tonight for a two game series at Frontier Field. Bob and Dave will be in attendance, if the sleet holds up long enough. -Ed.

ARKANSAS BLAST!

There were none to speak of on this day where the offense was as plentiful as 1952 Topps Mickey Mantle cards, but Gene Schall took all the suspense out of the questions, "Who will be the first 2000 Red Baron to get a hit, a home run, and an RBI?" by depositing a 3-2 Josh Towers pitch over the new padded right field wall.

ERA DROP ALERTS!!!!

Shumaker was his normal self (so much for the breakthrough year). Barry Johnson had a rough outing as well which inflated his ERA to 9.00
Sean Fesh was awesome tonight!! After coming on in the 5th inning to get the final out, The FESH went on a tear striking out May, Minor, and Fat Cal Pickering to end the 6th in style.
Manuel Barrios Finished the 9th and shut down the Wings in the 10th to pick up his first victory.

I wonder if George Gilbert still works there...if he does, his Irish Eyes are Smiling!!!

Well, the Barons pulled one off in dramatic fashion tonight
by the final of 2-1. Here are some of my insightful
ramblings:

Fesh was en fuego this evening, throwing 3 2/3 scoreless
innings to keep the game within reach for the SWBs. WAY
TO GO SEAN!! SEE YOU TOMORROW!!

Tonight's Trojan Boner of the Game award goes to... hmm, I
can't think of a Baron who did anything poorly tonight.
Let's give it to Cal Pickering just because you just have
to rip on Fat Cal.

BRING BACK ANDY DOMINIQUE!! um... I mean.. CLEMENTE ALVAREZ!!!
Playing in Clearwater?!?!?!? What's THAT about?

Cheers to the disciples of the Fesh Fan Club, who have been
holding down the LCS fort in remarkable fashion. Kudos to
Russ, Mike, and Jeff for leading the cheers. My favorite
so far has to be the new Dave Doster/Ghostbusters chant.
Who you gonna call??? DAVE DOSTER!!!

That's my two cents gang. Always remember, have your pets
spayed or neutered, and enjoy the FESHtival.
