GARY BENNETT MADE THE TIGERS ORGANIZATION REGRET THAT THEY RELEASED HIM!!
 Goodbye
to the Lynx, and good riddance. The Barons clawed their way back to the .500
mark Wednesday with a 7-4 vic-torey over Ottawa. The team is starting to come
around with the offense as the weather heats up in the Northeast. We asked the
Lynx to spell out "Outpost.com" on the outfield turf. And to help make
the occasion memorable, the Barons released a pack of ravenous wolves on
offense. Kenny Woods, Marlon Anderson, and Gene Schall are leading the pack. And
Pat Burrell, although yet to homer this year, has been getting base hits in
bunches during the past homestand. Now, onto today's game highlights:
ARKANSAS BLAST!!!
Gary Bennett continues to impress in the early games, as he crushed his 3rd
homer of the year off the rotating billboards in left field. I'll wager that it
was the Pennsylvania Lottery billboard, the odds are probably better than
winning the Cash 5 jackpot.
ERA DROP ALERTS!!!
Evan Thomas pitched quite well after allowing 2 runs in the second inning,
earning his first victory of the season. As a side note, Ottawa backup
goaltender Michel LaPlante (relief pitcher) is from Quebec City, making him the
only other Canadian on the team along with Mike Johnson. Now, to the matter at
hand....
Thomas 6.75 -----> 6.41
Barrios 3.86 -----> 3.48
Ward 5.87 -----> 5.19

Take me down to Quebec City, where the grass is green and
the girls are pretty.
Oh, won't you please take me home?
