Fesh Guestbook and Guestbook Archive

Here we will provide a forum for Barons fans to pay their respects and rehash old memories.  We will also include guestbook postings that we still have from the old website.

Provided is a chronicle of original guestbook postings from 1999 and 2000 that survived due to foresight of the members.  Thanks for the memories!

Alright, you got me. I have to admit that I enjoy reading your perspectives on the games. It definitely beats the average
run-of-the-mill newspaper stuff. Keep up the good work. We'll see ya when we get back from Durham and Charlotte.

    Greetings from The Crimi Clan.

We had a great time at Lackawana Stadium. We were pleased to see you keep Feshy company while he is away from home. By the way, we are the ones who took a picture of the coveted fan club to put in the hometown paper. (As soon as we get the pictures developed.) We will definately be back for a visit before school starts, even if that means that Feshy keeps Joe out until 2:00 a.m. again!
How about some new sign ideas?

Fesh up! (Fess up, get it?)
To Fesh or not to Fesh- That is the question!

Kelly says Hi Feshy! I had fun spending two days with you and
    swimming!

    Keep up the good work!!

We have know Sean for years--ethan from school, -&- me, well, from watching him endure many hours of rehab back here
    in CT.

He's a great guy that really appreciates his fans, and always has time to tell them!

The 2.5 hour ride to PA was worth it (although I fell asleep until we reached home, and made poor ethan drive the lonely
    road home himself...)

Keep up all of the great work you guys do---we really enjoyed watching you--your enthusiasm is catching!

On behalf of the people in Section 124 who are at every game, I
just want to say that you guys really made this season special. As soon
as the Seventh Inning Stretch came around, we started craning our necks looking for the "Feshies". You guys helped make the games fun again.
Even though the season is not over yet, I wanted to give my own personal Top Ten list. This first one is Top Ten Taunts Given by the Fesh Fan Club (at least the ones I have heard):

    Hey!

I just wanna say that I think you guys are great. Your enthusiasm and
support for the Barons is much appreciated and needed. And all those
idiots who complain and bitch can all just shove it up their ass. You
guys make going to the park even more enjoyable, not to take anything
away from the players. And I think the most upsetting thing about going
to the games is the fans who go just once a month or so and think they
know everything. But I digress. I also think the Red Rockets are a
disgrace, but oh well, what are ya gonna do? You guys just keep up the
good work and I'll see ya tonight at game 4 of the first round.

My sincerest thanks go out to all of the Fesh fans. I have been
attending Red Barons games since the team first came to NEPA, and in all of those years I have never had the privlege of seeing fans with such a
great attitude about America's past time. All people your age and even a
little older can hold their heads higher knowing that you have set the
example that young people are appreciated and respected for their
dedication. You always showed good judgement and represtened the young people of our area in a great fashion. When I started attending games in the spring, I never sat in the bleachers, but towards the end and especially in the playoffs, I wouldn't have wanted to be anywhere else.
There will always people who will say that you were too loud, or too
obnoxious, but I don't think that the Barons or anyone else who loves
the game would have had it any other way. Together, the fans can change the game (to steal a slogan from one of your posters), and you traveled leaps and bo

    Hey Guys,

Hopefully a few of us are headed to Durham tonite to check out your
crew. Too bad we didn't go last night. Because as we all know....

"Chicks really dig the long ball !!"

Ouch !! I will personally let the boys know you are listening on the
radio and will see them at Chicks. So ... we don't like T Green
ehhh. Maybe we'll rough him up for you. Wish me luck, my wife is not
to up on me going 1.5 hours away for a ballgame on a weeknite.
Something about her wanting me to be there for the birth of our child.
WOMEN !! Dont they get it! This is "The Fesh". BTW ... Phillie -
Kurt Schilling is a former Greensbor minor leaguer. Cant remember if
he was with the Reds or Red Sox at that time. We used to party with
him. Helped announce a softball game starring your beloved Phillie
pitcher a few years ago. Greensboro is his favorite minor league
    town. Pretty Cool !!

    Hi There Guys,

Tough roadie for the Red Barons, eh. I know it will be good for them
to be back home. Good luck making the play offs. Tell the boys in the
bull pen that the Fan Club South says hello. Take your frustrations
out on an opposing player (I prefer pitchers). It always works for
me. I view heckling as a form of therapy and I need a session. We
have the Charleston River Dogs (formerly the Rainbows - boy did we have fun with that)in town for a three game series.

    Hey Guys,

I hope all is well. Doesn't sound like The Fesh is getting much work
lately. I see from an earlier post you guys have problems with the
booster club too. Ours is so screwed up I wouldnt even consider
joining. I just learned that due to our odd playoff format (we have
three divisions and the season is divided into halves with separate
champions for each half) that even if we do not win the second half our
overall mark puts us into the playoffs(that's play downs for all you
Gil Thorpe fans). So we will have post season heckling for the 3rd or
4th or 5th year in a row. Well, the Yanks are good for something.
There will be a (another I should say) push for a new stadium here this
off season. Should be interesting. Our venerable venue was built in
1926 and it shows. I like it but I dont work there. Good luck the
last few weeks of the season and good luck in your various school
    related interests.

have Anthony Schumaker on your squad. He is from my home town - Kokomo Indiana !! I saw him a few years ago when he did a stint in the SAL.
At that time his stuff was reportedly nasty and his ERA was below
1.00. But that was then. Of course I am probably 15 years older than
he is so .......... but If you want to sort of Freak him out a little
just let me know and I will give you some info on Kokomo, In. UUUUHHH if this guy is not from kokomo ..... Never Mind !!!!!
